Dining at Moresby Hall
FRIDAY & SATURDAY ~ Dining in De MILLOM Restaurant
Now open on Friday and Saturday nights for dinner and our menu changes regularly. Our Fine Dining choices are imaginative only using (predominately local) best quality produce. Everything is prepared in house with delicious home made breads, sauces, dressings, ice-creams, sorbets and mouth watering desserts.
The tariff is £32.50 pp for three courses. Please note that we do not charge extra for bread, potatoes, vegetables or table water. There is one sitting for the night so you have time to enjoy pre dinner drinks, and a memorable evening.
Booking & Pre ordering is essential.
During 2010 we have received The Copeland Pride Dining Award the coveted ENJOY ENGLAND Breakfast Award .
Our Food Safety Inspection JULY 2010 achieved the highest SCORES ON THE DOORS of 5 STARS rated “Excellent”. Only a few establishments locally have attained this grading so it is a wonderful achievement for our dedicated team.
Residents Dining ~ Monday to Thursday
The following options are for guests staying in our accommodation. We are a small country guesthouse so please advise in advance if you wish to dine during your stay. Occasionally we cannot provide dinner but have details of places to dine locally.
Mid Week Dinner
- Two course dinner (set menu *) £25.00 per person
Supper
- Fish Platter * Smoked or poached fish, prawns, home made bread & salad
- Cheese Platter * Local cheeses, artisan biscuits, home made bread & chutney
- Sandwich Platter * Assorted fresh sandwiches with crisps & salad
All platters are £15.00 per person (Inclusive of melon or home made soup appetiser)
Dessert of the day: £5.00 per person

Private Functions - Monday to Saturday
If you want a special meal for family, friends or business colleagues look no further than a private LUNCHEON or DINNER PARTY for up to 40 people at Moresby Hall.
Suitable for all corporate events, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays etc.
We can also offer a two course CANAPE' SELECTION for up to 65 people at £22.50 pp – a selection of substantial and innovative savouries & mini puddings. The CANAPE' SELECTION can also be provided for smaller groups (up to 20) in our Oak Orangerie.
A superbly traditional AFTERNOON TEA at £17.50 pp is for a celebrations with a difference for up to 40 people. A wonderful selection of teatime treats, assorted fresh sandwiches, savouries, home made cakes & scones, tea & coffee. Why not add a glass of sparkling wine to make it a day to remember.
Children
Children should be over 10 yrs to dine in the evening unless they are part of a private function.
Weddings, Conferences & Special Events
Please see the separate headings for dining options at these functions. We are unable to offer disco or dance facilities but see Special Events for celebrations with a difference!
Special Requests
We always try to assist with any special dietary requirements and offer a wide range of interesting gluten free, non dairy or vegetarian options by arrangement.
Alcohol
Moresby Hall is fully licensed and has a selection of reasonably priced wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks available.
Gratuities
We do not impose a service charge. We do not condone some establishment's policy of retaining tips provided by customers. Any gratuities kindly offered will be shared equally amongst the staff that have prepared your meal and served you for your visit.
