Murder Mystery Events
Various themes available for a unique and fun event. Moresby Hall lends itself perfectly to the classic Murder Mystery Whodunit.
The events are Hosted by Jayne Vincent from The Whitehaven Theatre Group. A great chance to dress up in character and join friends, family or colleagues in solving a “Moresby Murder?” Prizes for best costume & first to solve the Murder!!!
Cost : £30 per person
Mon – Thur : minimum 16 guests – maximum 36 guests
Fri – Sat : minimum 24 guests – maximum 36 guests
Includes savoury canapés meal and mini pudding selection, the game with all the clues, exclusive use of ground floor reception rooms etc
From 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm approx
Cabaret Night
A glamorous evening of canapés on arrival, a delicious 3 course dinner and then finish the night in our beautiful FLETCHER suite listening to MALCOLM DOWLER a talented local singer. Malcolm specialises in a repertoire of well known pop and love ballads from 1980 to present day.
Max number - 30 guests
From 7.30 pm – 11.00 pm approx
Cost : £70 pp (accommodation charged extra if required)

Pamper Night
Sorry guys– this one is for the ladies only! A great way for girl friends to get together for dinner, romantic movie showing, champagne, chocolates and various beauty and complementary therapies (reflexology, aromatherapy, facials manicures, pedicures,) by qualified visiting therapists. A private night where you have exclusive use of Moresby Hall – a kind of “up market sleepover”!! Min 8 guests – Max 18 guests
Cost : £129 per person in Moresby Hall
£109 per person in Rosmerta & Brighida Cottages
From 4 pm – 11.00 pm approx (includes a complementary therapy or beauty treatment, 3 course dinner, bed and breakfast, overnight accommodation, choice of films, ½ bottle of champagne per person and Belgian Chocolates.
Casino Night
Three professional tables included (choose from the selection below) and fun money. You can make this a themed night, a charity event, celebration or just enjoy a black tie evening. Prize for the person who “wins” the most cash!
Completely legal as this is guided by the Lotteries and Amusement act 1976. Enjoy canapés on arrival, a delicious 3 course dinner and then finish the night in our beautiful FLETCHER suite at the table of your choice. Max 30 guests.
From 7.30 pm to 11.30pm approx inclusive of canapés on arrival, dinner and the Casino equipment + uniformed croupiers
Cost: £70 pp (accommodation charged extra if required)
A fourth table can be included at an extra £300
